Two strangers, Joanne (Sonja Smits) and Chris (Jonas Bonnetta) share a winter road trip through rural eastern Ontario. After losing her husband John (Colin Mochrie), Joanne faces the rituals of remote rural life on her own, while Chris is processing his failing eyesight and the loss of his mother and the new responsibility of taking over her old home in the country. As their journey together unfolds, their drifting memories reveal parallel experiences, helping each of them shift the focus of their destination.

Sonja Smits career has included the lead in three television series, Street Legal, Traders and the Eleventh Hour as well as many TV movies such as Margret Lawrence's The Diviners. Her feature films include David Cronenberg's cult classic, Videodrome and Owning Mahoney with Philip Seymour Hofffman. Sonja's theatre work has taken her across Canada as well as the US. Sonja has received numerous honours and awards for her work including a Gemini Award-Best Actress, TWFT- Outstanding Achievement Award and ACTRA Award of Excellence. She was the first artist named as President of Harbourfront Centre Board, was a founding member of ACTRA Women's Caucus and served as Chair at Toronto Artscape Foundation. Sonja is the co-owner of Closson Chase Vineyards, a pioneer in the creation of the viticulture region of Prince Edward County.

Ryan J Noth is a multi-platform filmmaker, editor, and producer. His recent short film collaboration with partner Tess Girard, The Road To Webequie, premiered at TIFF and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for best short documentary. Beyond The Horizon premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, and A Tomb With A View also premiered at the Toronto and Vancouver International Film Festivals. His filmmaking career includes premieres at SXSW (Jandek, 2006) and Rotterdam (Gros Morne, 2009), and the improvised feature fiction film No Heart Feelings (2010, Buenos Aires premiere). NHF was also released theatrically in Canada through KinoSmith, and acquired by Super Channel and SpaFax. Rick Groen of the Globe and Mail called the talky portrait of small-town-downtown Toronto a 'quiet triumph.'

Jonas Bonnetta is a Canadian composer and producer. Bonnetta's main project is the band Evening Hymns. In 2015 he scored the award-winning documentary Strange and Familiar. Evening Hymns' song "You and Jake" was featured in Cameron Crowe's film "Aloha". The band has released 3 full-length albums. Quiet Energies was released in 2015.

Colin Andrew Mochrie is a Scottish-born Canadian actor, writer, producer and improvisational comedian, best known for his appearances on the British and US versions of the improvisational TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Mochrie honed his comedic talents with Vancouver's TheatreSports League and Toronto's Second City theatre. He has appeared in dozens of television series and films, as well as theatrical shows. With his wife, comedian Debra McGrath, Mochrie co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in the Canadian sitcoms Getting Along Famously and She's the Mayor. He has written for numerous other series and events, and wrote and performed for the White House Correspondents' Association dinner.

Mochrie's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including two Canadian Comedy Awards, a Gemini Award, and a Writers Guild of Canada award. He was named Canadian Comedy Person of the Year at the 2013 Canadian Comedy Awards.
